VisionQuest is a 2026 Marvel Television series about White Vision’s search for identity. Paul Bettany returns as the synthezoid, while James Spader reprises Ultron. The series streams exclusively on Disney+.
What Is VisionQuest?
Created for television by Terry Matalas, VisionQuest completes the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. Following these events, the series focuses on the rebooted Vision after he escapes those who sought to use him as a weapon. Now, he lives in hiding and tries to understand his memories. Meanwhile, his search for answers raises questions about his identity, past, and purpose. However, his past and the artificial intelligence inside his programming keep pulling him into danger. The series combines superhero action and family drama.
VisionQuest Story and Plot
After his reboot, Vision tries to build a new life in Edinburgh, where he works at a pub and questions his memories. Meanwhile, he seeks answers by consulting AI personalities within his system. These include F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., D.U.M-E, U, and Ultron. Through these interactions, Vision explores his past and tries to understand his identity and purpose. His new routine offers little comfort, since each answer raises fresh questions about the person he has become and the memories he carries.
Meanwhile, a bounty hunter named Paladin receives a job to track Vision. Vision uses a young boy named Thomas Shepherd to draw him out. Moreover, Thomas may have a connection to Vision and Wanda’s family. However, their situation becomes more dangerous as they go on the run. Vision must protect Thomas, resist Ultron’s influence, and understand the bond between them. As the story unfolds, their connection becomes central to Vision’s journey.
